PolySachi Polymers LLC, Harlingen, Texas, acquired Texas Thread Technology in April. In business for more than 30 years, Texas Thread Technology manufactures mil spec twisted and bonded sewing thread and industrial yarns.

PolySachi Polymers is also the parent company of PARI Olefins-Winzen Plant, specializing in technical textile products for the bulk bag industry in Asia and the Americas; Winzen Fibers, specializing in value-added polyethylene and polypropylene fibrillated and flat tapes and high tenacity fibers for industrial textiles; and Winlon Food Liners, specializing in interfolded products to eliminate cross contamination and cross contact using olefin-based, aluminum and paper-laminated substrates.

“Texas Thread Technology will bring us additional capacity to twist yarn in ring and plying capacity from 210 to 6000 D, bonding and King spooling,” says PolySachi Polymers owner Haresh Sachithanandan. “This will give us an entry to high performance engineered fibers in the USA and the world. We intend to invest $2 million in new equipment for 2022.”
